Deepening Industry-Education Integration, Enabling Scientific and Technological Innovation | Zhejiang University Technology Transfer Center Biotest base Officially Launched

On March 27, 2025, the “Launching Ceremony of Zhejiang University Technology Transfer Center and Biotest Biotech Co., Ltd” was successfully held in the Future Science and Technology City Park of Hangzhou Biotest . With the theme of “Deepening the Integration of Industry and Education-Enabling Scientific and Technological Innovation”, the event brought together university leaders, corporate executives, experts, scholars and industry representatives to witness this important milestone in the deep integration of industry, academia and research.

Co-construction of an integrated platform to serve the biomedical highlands

     At the beginning of the launching ceremony, guests visited Biotest's exhibition area to learn more about the company's development history, core products and technical achievements. After the visit, the activity was officially opened. Fu Qiang, Vice President of Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University, emphasized in his speech that the base will build an integrated platform of “technology research and development - achievement transformation - industry incubation”, closely connecting with the strategy of “three major scientific and technological innovation highlands” in Zhejiang Province. He pointed out that the university and enterprise will cultivate compound talents through the “dual tutor system”, and deliver innovative power for the industry.

    Mr. Wu Shujiang, General Manager of Biotest , said that in the face of the technological pain points in the global biopharmaceutical industry, the enterprise is in urgent need of breaking through the “neck” problem in the field of in vitro diagnostics. He highly recognized the advantages of ZJU in interdisciplinary research and development, and announced that Biotest will invest special R&D funds, open the pilot production line, and promote the collaborative innovation of “scientists + engineers” team, meanwhile, provide practice positions for ZJU students, prioritize the absorption of joint training talents, and accelerate the technology from the laboratory to the market.

In the expert keynote speech, three experts and professors from Zhejiang University put forward the cooperation path from multi-dimension and look forward to the landing of the cooperation project with Biotest.

   

      Signing a contract to start a new journey, hand in hand to create the future

At the end of the event, Yan Hao, Executive Director of Zhejiang University Technology Transfer Center, and Wu Shujiang, General Manager of Biotest, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides, which marks that the construction of the base formally stepped into the implementation stage. In the future, the two sides will deepen cooperation around technology research, talent training, platform sharing, to create a benchmark for collaborative innovation between industry, academia and research, and to inject strong kinetic energy for the high-quality development of biomedical industry in Zhejiang Province.
